Gray Street Two-Way Conversion
The Gray Street Two-Way Conversion Bond Project located between University Boulevard and Porter Avenue has two purposes.
The first is to modify the roadway configuration from the current one-way westbound configuration, to two-way traffic both east and westbound. This will require new roadway striping, reconfiguration of angled parking along the street, and new signalization equipment at intersections as well as the BNSF railroad crossing.
Secondly, the project will incorporate streetscape elements similar to those being implemented along Porter Avenue and Main Street.
Projected Schedule
•Begin Utility Relocations (if needed) – August 2022
•Final Plans, Specifications, and Estimates – July 2023
•Open Bids – March 2024
•Begin Construction – August 2024
•Complete Construction – August 2025
